Sharing with my chair and Ms. Allison Stacy, Museum Curator and our City appointed administration lead. Kindest Regards, Tanguy Libbrecht On Fri, Feb 13, 2026 at 13:30 Taylor Crocker <tcrocker@cityofseward.net> wrote: Chair Libbrecht, We recently had a drunk driver hit one of the historic light poles on Fourth Ave.. After looking at the pole to determine if repairs could be made, we found that the base of the pole was rotten. The poles both downtown are made out of pot metal and can no longer be sourced. That being said, I would like to discuss with the Historic Preservation commission some alternatives we could use to replace the originals, but still keep the historical look. Please let me know if you would be interested in a power point presentation with the alternatives. Our other option would be commissioning the recreation of the originals, but I think that would come at a very high cost. Please let me know if you are interested in starting this discussion.
