A written decision will be issued and voted upon at the Monday, January 26, 2026 City Council Meeting. ADJOURNMENT UPCOMING MEETINGS City Council Meeting Monday, January 12, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. City Council Chambers Historic Preservation Commission Work Session and Meeting Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. City Council Chambers [Agenda will be published in next week’s calendar] PUBLIC HEARINGS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Seward City Council will conduct public hearings on the following items of business at a regular meeting on Monday, January 12, 2026: Resolution 2026-001: Approving the 2026 City of Seward Port & Harbor Tariff Regulations Public hearing documents are available for review at the City Hall. The public hearing will be held during the meetings in the Council Chambers at City Hall at 410 Adams Street. All interested persons are invited to attend the meetings and participate in the discussion. City of Seward - Council Calendar Page 4 of 5 Posted on January 7, 2026, at City Hall, Post Office, Harbormaster, Seward Community Library, and online at www.cityofseward.us BOARDS & COMMISSIONS VACANCIES Historic Preservation Commission City Council is seeking applications from those interested in serving on the Historic Preservation Commission. The commission meets four times a year, typically on a designated Thursday in January, May, September, and November. There is one seat available on the commission with a term set to expire May 2028. At least four seats shall be filled by residents inside Seward city limits. If there are no city residents applying, council may consider filling the seats with non-residents. Port & Commerce Advisory Board (PACAB) City Council is seeking applications from those interested in serving on PACAB. The board meets on the third Wednesday of each month at noon. There are no PACAB meetings during the months of June, July, and August. There is one seat available with a term expiring in July 2026 and one seat available with a term expiring in July 2028. At least four seats shall be filled by residents inside Seward city limits. If there are no city residents applying, council may consider filling the seats with non-residents.
