The following resolutions were approved:
Resolution 2026-020: Approving an Update to the City of Seward Fee Schedule
Resolution 2026-021: Updating the Mobile Vendor Application Period for Permitting Mobile Vendors on City-
Owned Property
The following resolution was postponed:
Resolution 2026-022: Amending the FY 2025-2026 Budget to Reflect Mid-Cycle Budget Adjustments and
Appropriating Funds
This resolution was amended to the substitute version and postponed to Monday, March 2, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. for
a Special Meeting to be held.
Other items:
Vanessa Verhey and Clare Sullivan were appointed to the P&Z Commission for 3-year terms set to expire February
2029.
Deborah Altermatt was appointed to PACAB with a term set to expire July 2026.
Council voted to proceed with Council Member Calhoon’s proposed ordinance for marijuana regulations.
The February 9, 2026 City Council Meeting Minutes were approved.
There were no grounds for protest to a new AMCO Distillery Retail License or Manufacturer Sampling
Endorsement for the Seward Distilling Company at 226 Fifth Avenue.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Seward City Council will conduct public hearings on the following items
of business at a regular meeting on Monday, March 9, 2026:

to Incorporate Regulations for a Mobile Health Unit

Public hearing documents are available for review at the City Hall. The public hearing will be held during the
meetings in the Council Chambers at City Hall at 410 Adams Street. All interested persons are invited to attend
the meetings and participate in the discussion.
BOARDS & COMMISSIONS VACANCIES
Historic Preservation Commission
City Council is seeking applications from those interested in serving on the Historic Preservation Commission.
The commission meets four times a year, typically on a designated Thursday in January, May, September, and
November. There is one seat available on the commission with a term set to expire May 2028. At least four seats
shall be filled by residents inside Seward city limits. If there are no city residents applying, council may consider
filling the seats with non-residents. Application forms are available in the Office of the City Clerk and on the City
Council Meetings webpage.
