BRODY ELLA SHAY GRACE LANDEN BGCKP Junior Staff Program & Real -World Job Experience A cornerstone of our Workforce Readiness efforts is the BGCKP Junior Staff Program, which provides teens with hands - on, real -life job experience directly on our campus. How it all started.... Royce & Melba Roberts In Honor of Royce & Melba Roberts Royce Roberts came to Alaska in 1961 with little more than grit, a work ethic, and a dream. A welder, fisherman, and entrepreneur, he founded Arctic Pipe Inspection, growing it into a successful business with locations across Alaska and Texas. Known for his hands -on leadership, unwavering diligence, and deep integrity, Royce lived simply and gave generously, often quietly helping those in need. Royce and his beloved wife, Melba, built their life in the Kenai community, raising their blended family and investing in the people and place they called home. As generous benefactors, Royce and Melba’s final gift inspired a movement —mobilizing community partners, donors, and leaders to build a forever home for our youth. Today, this campus stands as a tribute to their lives of purpose, humility, and service.
