Laydown 6/22/26 CC Meeting June 4th, 2026 Dear Mayor McClure, Obihiro's lovely cherry blossom season has come to an end and the days have increasingly become warmer, welcoming in the summer season. I hope that the citizens of Seward are healthy and in high spirits. As the 98th annual Mount Marathon Race is quickly approaching, we are sending you plaques for 1st 2nd, and 3rd place runners for each race category. I would like to express my profound respect for the participants as well as the staff who will be working towards a successful execution of this traditional race. Last year, we were glad to welcome high school students from Seward. We are truly grateful for all the meaningful international exchange we shared, and I look forward to the continued deepening of the bonds between our cities. May our friendship continue to strengthen, grow, and last for years to come. Sincerely, :T1 A 1- Yosuke Ueno Mayor of Obihiro
