The driveway access road leading up to the pad at the top of the hill is extremely precarious. I’ve
been traversing up this road for a few years now, along with many other Sewardites who enjoy it
as a year-round option for hiking and biking, and their new obstructions are constantly
damaging the road. Trees are falling, hillsides are sliding, and boulders are rolling. It’s unsafe and
irresponsible to expect this to be a road people can use regularly- for commercial business
especially.
Additionally, this area is lush with wildlife. With so many humans already accessing Mount
Marathon via the Jeep and Runners trails, along with the numerous side trails on this mountain,
we need to protect our wild areas and our people from wildlife with less places to roam.
I’m also very curious how plumbing could possibly be feasible up there?
