1HE CITY OF SEWARD
Resolution No. 744
WHEREAS. continued interest and activity in the off-shore exploration for
oil is necessary to the economic development of Alaska, and
WHEREAS; Alaska's oil potential can not be fully determined until more
information is gathered concering the location and size of our oil reserves,
and
WHEREAS. off-shore exploration techniques, when properly managed, can be
of great benefit in providing more information about the oil potential
in Alaska;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by The City Council of The City of Seward,
Alaska, that off-shore oil exploration in Alaskan waters should be encouraged
for the ultimate benefit of all Alaskans.
This Resolution shall be effective on the date of passage and approval.
