RESOLUTION NO. ?81.
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR LICENSING
OF THE FOURTH A VENUE DOCK
WHEREAS, the CITY OF SEWARD is the owner of the
Fourth Avenue Dock~ and
WHEREAS, the Ordinancffiof the CITY OF SEWARD provide
for the sale or other disposition of real property owned by
the CITY OF SEWARD, which is not dedicated to any public use,
and the subject property is not dedicated to any public use,
and
WHEREAS, the Ordinances provide that the Council may,
by motion passed, find that the public interest will not be
served by license granted for use of said subject property
either by auction or sealed bid, and
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the public interes
will not be served by public auction or sealed bid but that the
public interest will be served by a negotiated license for use
of the property granted to NORTHERN STEVEDORING & HANDLING
CORPORATION, and
WHEREAS, the Ordinances of the CITY OF SEWARD provide
that Council may authorize the City Manager to negotiate a lease
of real property by Resolution duly enacted,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA:
Section 1. That it is in the public interest to grant
license for use of the Fourth Avenue Dock to NORTHERN STEVEDORING
CITY or SEWARD
