RESOLUTION NO. 801
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE
PURCHASE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the City of Seward is desirous of purchasing
the following described real property;
Lot Eleven (11) and Twelve (12), Marathon addition,
Seward Recording District, Third Judicial District,
State of Alaska,
and
WHEREAS, the property has been offered for sale to
the City of Seward by Clyde and Georgia Gordon, 3106 East 8th
Avenue, Anchorage.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA:
Section 1. That it is in the public interest to
purchase the above-described real property under the terms set
forth herein.
Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized and
directed to purchase said property at a purchase price of
Thirtyfive hundred dollars ($3,500.00) for both lots, payable
at Five Hundred dollars ($500.00) down, and One Hundred dollars
($100.00) per month thereafter at 8% annual interest on the
unpaid balance; the City Attorney is authorized and directed to
prepare the documents necessary to consummate this sale, and the
City Manager is authorized and directed to execute the same.
Section 3. That this resolution, and the consequent
purchase of this property, is contingent upon the receipt of
a litigation report which confirms title in the sellers in a
manner satisfactory to the City Attorney.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, THIS 24tbAY OF AUGUST, 1970.
