P City Clerk-Treasurer CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA RESOLUTION NO. 798 A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE LEASE OF REAL PROPERTY WHEREAS, the City of Seward is the owner of the following described property: All of Tract One (1), City of Seward Waterfront Tracts, as shown on the survey of the same pre- pared by Hewitt V. Lounsbury & Associates, dated September 1, 1969, and WHEREAS, the ordinances of the City of Seward provide for the sale or other disposition of real property owned by the City of Seward, which is not dedicated to any public use, and the subject property is not dedicated to any public use, and WHEREAS, the ordinances provide that the Council may, by motion passed, find that the public interest will not be served by lease of said property either by auction or sealed bid, and WHEREAS, Council has determined that the public interest will not be served by public auction or sealed bid but that the public interest will be served by a negotiated lease of the said property to the University of Alaska, and WHEREAS, the ordinances of the City of Seward, provide that Council may authorize the City Manager to negotiate a lease of real property by resolution duly enacted, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska: Section 1. That it is in thep..lblic interest to lease said property to the University of Alaska; all provisions with reference to public advertisement for the lease of the property are hereby declared to be not in the public interest. Section 2. That this resolution shall be filed and published as in the case of resolutions for public sale of property and the lease shall not be executed until said resolution has been on file in the office of the City Clerk for thirty (30) days.
