WHEREAS, the City of Seward has approved a design for the
construction of a wharf in the Seward Munici~al Small Boat
Harbor, and
WHEREAS, the construction of this facility will require the
ex~enditure of funds which represent contractor's and engineer's
ex~enses, and
WHEREAS, the ex~enditure of these funds is not within the current
financial capability of the City without the use of interim
financing, and
WHEREAS, preliminary design and construction conferences with
the project engineer indicates that the project will be rapidly
constructed while funds covering portions of the completed work
may be delayed while necessary application forms are completed
and certified,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Manager is
hereby authorized to apply for interim project financing in
an amount not to exceed $262,000.00 and said funds are to
be segregated from the General Fund of the City in a special
account to be known as the 1972 Wharf Construction Project
Account and all checks drawn on this account are to be signed

This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage
and approval.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward,
Alaska, this 13th day of December, 1971.
