CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-006
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT TO DAMES & MOORE
TO UPDATE THE ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT REPORT FOR
THE TRANSMISSION LINE
WHEREAS, the city of Seward signed a memorandum of understand-
ing with the United States Forest Service that requires the city to
update the 1984 environmental assessment for the Seward electrical
transmission line; and
WHEREAS, the city publicly advertised for proposals from
qualified firms to update the 1984 environmental assessment; and
WHEREAS, on December 2, 1991, Dames & Moore, a professional
company submitted the only proposal in response to the city's
request for proposals; and
WHEREAS, after further negotiations Dames & Moore revised its
proposal to lower the cost to $43,569; and
WHEREAS, the revised proposal appears to be responsive to the
request for proposals, and the scope of work will meet the United
States Forest Service requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The city manager be authorized to award a contract
to Dames & Moore in an amount not to exceed $43,569.00 to update
the 1984 transmissionline environmental assessment.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 13th day of January, 1992.
