RESOLUTION No. 79-18
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE NOMINATION OF CERTAIN LANDS
FOR CONVEYANCE FROM THE STATE OF ALASKA TO THE CITY
OF SEWARD PURSUANT TO THE MUNICIPAL LAND ENTITLEMENT ACT
WHEREAS, the City did nominate approximately 843 acres of
State land located in the Fourth of July Creek area on November 27,
1978 and filed as ADL No. 20/288, and
WHEREAS, following consultation with the Kenai Penisula
Borough and State of Alaska, Division of Lands , the City wishes
to amend its nomination.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA:
Sect ion I.
That the following described lands are hereby relinquished
from nomination by the City Council for conveyance from the State
of Alaska to the City pursuant to the Municipal Land Entitlement Act:
(1) A parcel of land within Sect. 18, TIS, RlE, Seward
Meridian, Alaska containing 225 acres, more or less
and located to the East of the parcels described by
U.S. Survey 4828, U.S. Survey 1651 and U.S. Survey 4827.
Beginning at the Southeast corner of U.S. Survey4827,
thence Northeasterly at a bearing of N 510 OO'E to a
point on the common line between Sect 18 & Sect 19,
thence Northerly along said line to the Northeast
corner of Sect 18, thence Westerly to the boundary
line of U.S. Survey 4828, thence Southerly along
the East boundary line of U.S. Survey 4828 to the
Northerly boundary line of U.S. Survey 1651, thence
Easterly along said boundary line to the Northeast
corner of U.S. Survey 1651, thence Southerly to the
point of beginning.
(2) A parcel of land within Sect 17, TIS, RlE, Seward
Meridian, Alaska containing 144 Acres, more or less.
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Section 17, thence
Southerly for a distance of approximately 3030 feet
along the common line between Sect 17 and Sect 18,
thence Northeasterly at a bearing of N63000'E for an
approximate distance of 3055 feet, thence Northerly at
a bearing of NOoOO' to the common line between Sect 17
and Sect 8, thence Westerly to the point of beginning
Sect ion II.
That the following described lands are hereby nominated by
the City Council for conveyance from the State of Alaska to the City
pursuant to the Municipal Land Entitlement Act:
(1) All of Tract A, State Division of Lands Boundary
location survey of portions of U.S. Survey No. 149
and 242, TIN, RlW, Seward Meridian, comprising
26.162 acres.
(2) Lots 1 and 2, 8 through 12, Block 19, and Lots 1 and 2,
Block 11 within U. S. Survey 1116, TIS, Rl W, Seward Meridian
containing approximately .845 acres.
(3) Tract A, U.S. Survey 1116, TIS, RlW, Seward Meridian,
containing 18.39 acres.
(4) Right-of-way south of Alaska Railroad Terminal Reserve
containin~ approximately 10 acres.

That

Meridian comprising 1.33 acres.
All of the NWt of the SWt of Section 28, TlN, R1W,
Seward Meridian containing 40 acres.
All of the SWt of the SWt of Section 28, T1N, R1W,
Seward Meridian comprising 40 acres.
All of the NEt of the SEt of Section 27, TlN, R1W,
Seward Meridian comprising 40 acres.
All the SEt of the SEt of Section 27, T1N, R1W,
Seward Meridian comprising 40 acres.
All of the swt of the SEt of Section 27, T1N, R1W,
Seward Meridian comprising 40 acres.
All of the SEt of the NEt of Section 27, T1N, R1W,
Seward Meridian comprising 40 acres.
this resolution takes effect immediately upon adoption.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA,
THIS 14th day of May, 1979.
