HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes1996-036 , - , Sponsored by: Garzini CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA RESOLUTION NO. 96-036 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, NAMING CERTAIN SEWARD AREA STREETS WHEREAS, the Kenai Peninsula Borough has begun implementation of an enhanced 911 emergency dispatch system; and WHEREAS, it is important to have all streets named and addressed in such a manner as to clearly define a dispatch location; and WHEREAS, a number of streets within the city have never been designated by action of the City Council; and WHEREAS, some street names need to be changed to reflect continuity with adjoining subdivision; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that: Section 1. The name of the road between Railway Avenue and the southerly city limits toward Lowell Point is confirmed to be Lowell Point Road. Section 2. The street from the Seward Highway into the airport shall be called Airport Road. Section 3. The road from the north boundary of Forest Acres Subdivision to the borough solid waste transfer facility shall be an extension of and called Dimond Boulevard. Section 4. The alley right-of-way and easement between Laubner Addition, Park Place Subdivision and Mill Street, within Block 7, Cliff Addition, shall be considered an extension of and called Hulm Lane. Section 5. Hemlock Street within Forest Acres Subdivision is changed to Hemlock Avenue. Section 6. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
