CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 96-055
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH WHITE
ELECTRIC TO INSTALL 23 RV ELECTRICAL HOOK-UPS AT
WATERFRONT PARK FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $10,425
WHEREAS, when the shower/restroom facility was constructed in Waterfront Park in 1994,
electrical service was extended into the campground and placed in a location to accommodate power
both to the new facility and to future RV hook-ups; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the FY 1996 Parks and Recreation Department budget
to install 23 electrical hook-ups in the campground; and
WHEREAS, the City properly advertised a request for proposals to install the RV hook-ups;
and
WHEREAS, the proposal submitted by White Electric was found to be most responsive and
the proposer was found to be responsible and qualified to do the work requested; and
WHEREAS, the installation of these electrical hook-ups will enhance the campground and
make it more attractive to the City's visitors;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with
White Electric in an amount not to exceed $10,425 to install 23 electrical RV hook-ups at Waterfront
Park as set forth in the request for proposals issued by the City.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 22nd
day of April, 1996.
