CITY OF SEWARD ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-042
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 92-014 AND AWARDING
A CONTRACT TO WINCE-CORTHELL-BRYSON CONSULTING ENGINEERS
TO DESIGN A STORM WATER DRAINAGE SYSTEM AT THE
SPRING CREEK CORRECTIONAL CENTER
WHEREAS, the City Council previously approved Resolution No. 92-014.
authorizing the award of a contract to CH2M Hill to provide professional services to
design a stonn water collection and disposal system for the Spring Creek Correctional
Center (SCCC)j and
WHEREAS, the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities
(DOT!PF) is managing this work for the city of Sewardj and
WHEREAS, the DOT!PF was unable to complete a contract with CH2M Hill in line
with the engineer's estimatej and
WHEREAS, Wince-Corthell-Bryson Consulting Engineers was the second ranked
finn to provide professional engineering services for this projectj and
WHEREAS, DOT!PF has successfully negotiated a contract with Wince-Corthell-
Brysonj and
WHEREAS, funds are available within the prison construction account for this
proj ectj
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD ALASKA, that
Section 1. Resolution No. 92-014 is hereby rescinded.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to sign a contract with Wince-
Corthell-Bryson to perfonn professional engineering services to design a storm water
collection and disposal system for Spring Creek Correctional Center for a fee not to
exceed $43,240.00.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska,
this 23rd day of March, 1992.
