CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-051
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO PROCEED WITH THE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR REMAINING
FY 1992 GRANT MONEY FOR HISTORIC PRESERVATION
WHEREAS, on April 13, 1992, the City Council approved Resolution No. 92-043,
authorizing the City Manager to apply for Certified Local Government statusj and
WHEREAS, the designation of Certified Local Government status allows the city
of Seward to apply for grants for historical preservationj and
WHEREAS, application can be made through the State Historic Preservation
Officer (SHPO) for remaining FY 1992 federal grant funds totalling $3,881.00j and
WHEREAS, the city of Seward must complete a historic preservation plan to
comply with Certified Local Government Guidelines in order to apply for future grants
for individual historic projectsj
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to proceed with the application
process for remaining FY 1992 historic preservation grant funds for developing a Historic
Preservation Plan for the city of Seward.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
27th day of April, 1992.
