CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-104
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF
CERTAIN CRITICAL EASEMENTS FOR TRANSMISSION LINE
CONSTRUCTION FOR GREATER THAN FAIR MARKET VALUE'
WHEREAS, on January 13, 1992, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 92-001,
approving an acquisition plan for easements and property for construction of Phase 1A
of the Lawing to Ft. Raymond 115 KV transmission line; and
WHEREAS, this plan authorized the city administration to acquire such easements
for fair market value; and
WHEREAS, the negotiated price for certain critical easements exceeds fair market
value as established by the city's agent for acquisition of the easements; and
WHEREAS, Council approval is required in order to finalize the purchase of these
remaining easements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to proceed with the acquisition of
Parcel No. 13 (Lot 19, Folz Subdivision) from Dale Gillespie for an amount not to exceed
$1,040.00.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to proceed with the acquisition of
Parcel No. 78-B (All of that certain portion of the SE~SE~NW~ and the
W1hwV2SW~NE~ od Section 12, Township 1 North, Rage 1 West, Seward Meridian)
from Beulah Murawsky for an amount not to exceed $10,000.00.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized to proceed with the acquisition of
Parcel No. 52 from the Resurrection Bay Baptist Church for an amount not to exceed
$5,000.00.
Section 4. The City Manager is authorized to proceed with the acquisition of
Parcel No. 82 (All of that certain portion of the S1hSW~ of Section 1, Township 1 North,
Range 1 West, Seward Meridian) from Dean 1. and Susan G. Anderson for an amount
not to exceed $35,000.00.
Section 5. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
