, 1989.
The purpose of this Operations Plan is to outline the
procedures for carrying out a Mutual Aid response between the

conformance with the procedures set out in the Mutual Aid
Agreement.
1. RESPONSE AREAS
a. Bear Creek Fire Service Area (BCFSA) personnel may

Fire Department (SFD) at the location of a fire
emergency to which SFD has been dispatched, located

5. TRAINING
A joint training exercise should be carried out at
least once a year in each jurisdiction to upgrade operational
procedures in firefighting, communications, etc., so that the two
departments operate as a single coordinated force rather than two

Each agency shall be responsible for reporting the
incident in accordance with its own procedures, and shall provide
copies of its report to the other agency upon request.
7. WATER SUPPLY SYSTEMS
Bear Creek Fire & Emergency Medical Service Area will
request permission to use any hydrant within the city limits.
When such a request is made, through dispatch, Seward Fire
Department's on-duty fire officer will state which hydrant(s) can
be used. During an emergency refill of BCFSA tankers, SFD may
set up a reservice area to provide for a quick turnaround for
BCFSA tankers. Location of the reservice area will be determined
by the SFD Officer. The reservice area location may change due
to public safety considerations such as traffic congestion, etc.
Seward Fire Department will request use of BCFSA
tanker(s) through the BCFSA Senior Fire Officer. BCFSA shall
supply driver(s) for each unit requested. Each unit shall be
refilled with water after completion of the required task.
