CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 90-158
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
SECURITY LIGHTING FOR THE SEWARD MARINE INDUSTRIAL
CENTER BOAT STORAGE AREA
WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide security lighting for the
SMIC Boat Storage area in order that the area will be acceptable
and safe for boat storage; and
WHEREAS, a request for proposals to provide highmast light
assemblies was advertised on October 16, 1990; and
WHEREAS, only one company, Electric Distributors, Inc.,
submitted a proposal; and
WHEREAS, the lead time for delivery of the highmast light
assemblies is six weeks; and
WHEREAS, the next scheduled City Council meeting is January
14, 19 9 1; and
WHEREAS, although this resolution was not included in the
published City Council Agenda in The Seward Phoenix Log, it is in
the public interest to consider action on this purchase at the
December 10, 1990, Council Meeting;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, AI.ASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to issue a purchase
order in the amount of $40,988.00 to Electric Distributors, Inc.,
for the purchase of security lighting equipment for the SMIC Boat
Storage area.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 10th day of December, 1990.
