CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 91-147
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING THE SALE OF LOTS 2 & 3,
BLOCK 9, CLIFF ADDITION, TO SEWARD MARINE VENTURES, INC.
WHEREAS, the City Council previously approved Resolution No.
91-115, authorizing the disposal of Lots 2 and 3, Block 9, Cliff
Addition, by sealed bid; and
WHEREAS, Seward Marine Ventures, Inc., submitted the only bid
for the property; and
WHEREAS, this bid met the criteria established for the sale
and included the required bid deposit; and
WHEREAS, all Code-required conditions with regards to the
disposal of public property have been met;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The bid totalling $32,101 submitted by Seward
Marine Ventures for the purchase of Lots 2 and 3, Block 9, Cliff
Addition, is found to be acceptable.
Section 2. The quitclaim deed, a copy of which is attached
and incorporated herein by reference, for the sale of Lots 2 and 3,
Block 9, Cliff Addition, to Seward Marine Ventures, Inc., is
APPROVED, and the City Manager is authorized to execute same upon
receipt of the full bid amount.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 9th day of December, 1991.

QUIT CLAIM DEED (

The Grantor, CITY OF SEWARD, a home rule municipality
organized and existing under the laws of the state of Alaska, of
Seward, Alaska, for and in consideration of the sum of TEN DOLLARS
($10.00) lawful money of the United States of America, and other
good and valuable considerations in hand paid, convey and quitclaim
to SEWARD MARINE VENTURES, INC., an Alaskan corporation, of P.O.
Box 1315, Seward, Alaska 99664, and to the heirs and assigns of the
survivors forever, the following described real property situated
in the Seward Recording District, Third Judicial District, State of
Alaska, and more particularly described as follows:
Lots 2 and 3, Block 9 Cliff Addition of the original
Townsite of the City of Seward, Alaska according to the
plat thereof, filed as Plat No.3 on April 22, 1918, in
the Seward Recording District, Third Judicial District,
State of Alaska, excepting therefrom a road Right of Way
easement for Chamberlain Road (formerly Government Road)
which is described as commencing at a point on the
northerly boundary of said Lot 2, a distance of 34.0 feet
from the northeasterly corner of said Lot 2; thence
S25038'07"W for a distance of approximately 55.0 feet to
the southeasterly corner of said Lot 2. Said easement
contains approximately 850 square feet, more or less; and
commencing at a point on the northerly boundary of said
Lot 3, a distance of 22.0 feet from the northeasterly
corner of said Lot 3; thence S04049'01"W for a distance
of approximately 50.2 feet to a point on the southerly
boundary of said Lot 3. Said easement contains
approximately 1,864 square feet more or less.
The disposal of this property is authorized by City of Seward
Resolutions 91-115 and 91-147.
