PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
RESOLUTION NO. 92-13
A RESOLUTION OF THE SEWARD PLANNING AND ZONING
COMMISSION, APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
AS REQUESTED BY PIERRE AUTHIER, DBA THE JOINERY
Whereas, Pierre Authier, dba The Joinery, has requested a conditional use permit
to construct and operate a commercial woodworking shop at 612 Third Avenue which
is located within the Office Residential District; and
Whereas, the proposed use is consistent with the purposes of the zoning district;
and
Whereas, the proposed new structure, if reduced in size, will meet all setback
requirements of the property; and
Whereas, the proposed use meets all criteria established for the granting of a
conditional use permit;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning
Commission that:
Section 1. A Conditional Use Permit for the construction and operation of a
commercial woodworking shop at 612 third Avenue is hereby GRANTED to Pierre
Authier, dba The Joinery, under the following conditions:
1. The addition will be reduced in size to 27 ft. x 38 ft to allow for 6-foot side
yard setbacks and to bring the overall building coverage down below the maximum of
35%; and
2. The final building design will be submitted to the Commission for review
prior to construction.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning Commission this
5th day of August, 1992.
