RESOLUTION NO. 94-014
A RESOLUTION OF 1HE SEWARD PLANNING AND ZONING
COMMISSION, RECOMMENDING AMENDMENTS TO 1HE SEWARD ZONING
MAPS BY REZONING LOT lA ENNIS ADDmON TO FEDERAL ADDmON;
LOT 2, BLOCK 2, FEDERAL ADDmON AND LOTS lA-14, BLOCK 3,
LAUBNER ADDmON FROM Rl TO UR AND LOT 4, JESSE LEE HEIGHTS
SUBDIVISION ADDmON NO.2 FROM AC TO R3 TO BRING DESIGNATED
PROPERTIES INTO CONFORMANCE WITH 1HE LAND USE PLAN
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 665 amended the Land Use Plan to create a new Urban
Residential Land Use and Zoning District designation to allow for an area of higher density
mixed residential and professional home office uses in the area surrounding the downtown area;
and
WHEREAS, zoning is a tool to implement the Land Use Plan; and
WHEREAS, the proposed zoning amendments generally reflect community development
direction, bring zoning into confonnance with the Land Use Plan and provide for additional
flexibility in land uses; and
WHEREAS, a duly advertised public hearing was conducted by the commission on July
6, 1994;
NOW, 1HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning
Commission that:
Section 1. The City Council is encouraged to introduce for adoption an ordinance
amending the official city zoning map by rezoning Lot lA, Ennis Addition to Federal Addition,
Lot 2, Block 2, Federal Addition, and Lots lA-14, Block 3, Laubner Addition from Rl (single-
family residential) to UR (urban residential), and Lot 4, Jesse Lee Heights Subdivision Addition
No.2 from AC (auto commercial) to R3 (multi-family residential).
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning Commission this 6th
day of July, 1994.
