PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
RESOLUTION NO. 26=H
A RESOLUTION OF THE SEWARD PLANNING AND ZONING
COMMISSION, RECOMMENDING VARIOUS LAND USE PLAN AND ZONING
AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR ADOPTION
WHEREAS, one of the goals of the Seward Comprehensive Plan is to "Maintain Seward I s
Land Use Plan as the Primary Local Tool to Ensure Quality Community Land Use Arrangements,
Growth and Development to the Year 2010;" and
WHEREAS, zoning is a tool to implement the land use plan; and
WHEREAS, the proposed zoning amendments generally reflect community development
direction, bring zoning into conformance with the Land Use Plan and provide additional flexibility
in land uses; and
WHEREAS, the appropriate public hearing, as required by SCC ~ 15.01.040, was
conducted by the Commission on September 4, 1996.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning
Commission that:
Section 1. The attached proposed ordinance, incorporated herewith by reference, is
recommended to the City Council for adoption.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning Commission this 4th
day of September, 1996.

ORDINANCE NO. 96-
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN AND ZONING OF
VARIOUS PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF SEWARD
WHEREAS, one of the goals of the Seward Comprehensive Plan is to "Maintain Seward's
Land Use Plan as the Primary Local Tool to Ensure Quality Community Land Use Arrangements,
Growth and Development to the Year 2010;" and
WHEREAS, zoning is a tool to implement the land use plan; and
WHEREAS, the proposed zoning amendments generally reflect community development
direction, bring zoning into conformance with the Land Use Plan and provide additional flexibility
in land uses; and
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission held a public hearing and approved
Resolution No. 96-14, recommending the proposed Land Use Plan and Zoning amendments included
in this ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
HEREBY ORDAINS that:
Section 1. The official city Land Use Plan is hereby amended as follows:
