RESOLUTION 2004-09
A RESOLUTION OF THE SEWARD PLANNING AND ZONING
COMMISSION, RECOMMENDING KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH
APPROVAL OF THE RESUBDIVISION VIA LOT-LINE VACATION OF
LOTS 17 AND 18, BLOCK 36, ORIGINAL TOWNSITE OF SEWARD
BLANKENSHIP REPLA T
WHEREAS, Cline & Associates submitted a preliminary plat of Lot 17 A,
Block 36 Original Townsite of Seward Blankenship Replat to the City of Seward
for review and recommendation to the Kenai Peninsula Borough; and
WHEREAS, the replat vacates the interior lot lines of Lots 17 and 18,
Block 36, Original Townsite of Seward Blankenship Replat and creates one lot;
and
WHEREAS, the property is zoned UR, Urban Residential; and
WHEREAS, this platting action creates a lot of approximately 6,002 square feet;
and
WHEREAS, the new lot meets the minimum lot size and width requirement of
the Seward City Code; and
WHEREAS, the property is currently serviced by municipal water, sewer and
electric; and
WHEREAS, the Engineering and Utilities Department has stated that a
subdivision agreement is not required for this subdivision.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning
Commission that:
Section 1. The Commission recommends that the Kenai Peninsula Borough
approve the resubdivision via lot-line vacation of Lots 17 and 18, Block 36,
Original Townsite of Seward Blankenship Replat, creating Lot 17 A, Block 36,
Original Townsite of Seward Blankenship Replat subject to the following
conditions:
1. A ten (10) foot wide utility easement along the West boundary and the South
boundary, subject to the location of the existing building along the South
