ORDINANCE NO. 564
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEI'lARD, ALASKA, AMENDING SECTION 2-6 (a) OF THE CITY CODE ro
CONFORM WITH SECTION 8-10 OF THE CITY CODE - ELIGIBILITY FOR
~IVE OFFICE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, HEREBY ORDAINS
that:
Section 1. Section 2-6 (a) of the Seward City Code is hereby
arrended to read as follows:
See, 2-6. Eligibility for elective city office.
(a) To be eligible to file a declaration of candi-
dacy for election to a city office a person shall be
an elector of the city and shall have been a resi-
dent of the city or of the territory annexed to the
city, or shall have a combination of residence in
the city and in the annexed territory, for a period
of not less than one year preceding the date of the
filing of such declaration of candidacy.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect ten (10) days
following enactrrent.
ENACTED BY 'IRE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA,
this 9th day of June , 19 86.
