CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
ORDINANCE NO. SQ6
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, PROHIBITING THE CONSTRUCTION
OF BUILDINGS ACROSS PLATTED PROPERTY LINES
WHEREAS, there
the city of Seward
have enough square
sizes; and
are many lots of substandard size within
that necessitate consolidating lots to
footage to meet minimum buildable lot
WHEREAS, multiple lots may be replatted by vacating
property lines through an administrative platting procedure;
and
WHEREAS, the replatting of multi-parcel property into
single building units has many advantages to land owners,
title companies, financial institutions and local govern-
ments;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, HEREBY ORDAINS that:
Section 1.
Code is hereby
follows:
Chapter 6,
amended by
Buildings, of the Seward City
adding a new Section 6. 12 as
Sec. 6.12. Platting. No building, except a single
family residence, may be constructed across
platted property lines.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect ten (10)
days following enactment.
