HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd1963-321r OP~INANCE NO. 321 AN ORDINANCE A~NDING THE SEWARD GENERAL CODE, SECTION 11, REGULATING THE LICENSING AND OPERATION OF TAXI-CABS, BUSES, SIGHTSEEING AND AIRLINE SERVICE VEHICLES, VEHICLES FOR HIRE AND WITHOUT DRIVERS, AND OPERATORS AND DRIVERS OF THE FORE- GOING, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD: 1. There shall be added to Section 11 of the Seward General Code the following section - Section 11.105. Section 11.105 - Provisions Pertaining To One Cert- ificate of Convenience and Necessity. - The foregoing pro- visions contained in this Section and included in paragraphs 11:100(k)(1); 11:100(k)(2) in-so-far as it specifies the type of plaque, insurance data except the name and address of the insuror, and the photograph of the taxicab driver; 11:100(k)(4); ll:lOl(e) in-so-far as it pertains to the oper- ation of a dispatcher on duty 24 hours a day; 11:102(b) In- so-far as it pertains to a photograph of the applicant for chauffeur's license; 11:102(c) in-so-far as it pertains to the photograph; 11:104(b) in-so-far as it shall restrict the driver to this position of employment only; 11:101(c) in-so-far as it establishes a fee for taxicab zones; shall not be in force and effect when only one certificate of convenience and necessity for one company is in operation, except that the photographs shall be required, but may be a polaroid picture made and approved by the Police Dept. Section 11:101(c) shall establish the taxicab zone fee at $50.00 per year instead of 100.00 as now stated so long as only one certificate of convenience and necessity for one company is in operation. 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
