ORDINANCE NO. 220
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF SEWARD, ALASKA TO AMEND THAT
ORDINANCE, PASSED SEPTEMBER 4, 1951, AMENDING SECTION I
OF ORDINANCE 202, CONCERNING THE MANAGElllJENT AND OPERATION
OF PUBLIC UTILITY SYSTEMS.
WHEREAS, it is desired by the Council of the Town ot
Seward, Alaska, that the Utility Board, as created by Ordinance
202, passed April 3, 1950, have authority to manage and operate
all public utilities owned by the Town of Seward, Alaska;
therefore:
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Town of Seward,
Alaska:
Section 1. That Section 1 ot Amendment to Ordinance
202, passed September 4, 1951, be amended by including the words,
land all Public Utilities now or hereafter owned", and
That Section 1 of Ordinance 202, passed
April 3, 1950, read as follows: There is hereby created to man-
age and operate the municipal eleotrical utility system and all
public utilities now or hereafter owned by the Town ot Seward,
Alaska, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 92, Session Laws
of Alaska, 1949, as amended, a board to be knownas: Seward
Utility Board.
Section 2. That publication of this Ordinance shall
be made by posting a copy hereof on the City Hall Bulletin Board
tor a period of ten (lO) days following the passage hereof.
Section 3. That the rules governing the introduction,
posting, passage and approval of ordinances are hereby suspended
and an emergency is declared, and this Ordinance shall be
effective immediately upon its introduction and passage this
23rd day of SeDtember, 1952.
