ORDINANCE NO. 123
An Ordinance fixing the rate of compensation to be paid by the City of Seward,
,l\.laska, to officers appointed by the Cormnon Council of said Oi ty for the term
ending April lOth, 1936, o~ until their successors are appointed and qualified
and repealing all Ordinances in conflict heH?wi th and declaring an emergency:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CChhON COUNCIL CIlY OF SE'wARD, ALA2KA:
Section 1. That the compensdtion to be paid the municipal officers of the
City of Seward, Alaska, for the term ending April 10th, 1936 or until the
successc)rs of said offices are appointed and qualified is hereby fixed and
established by the terms hereinafter contained in this Orjinance, which I
compensation shall he neither increased or diminished during the continuance of
such Officers in office, nor shall such officers be entitled to receive in any
form or shape any other additional compensation from the City.
Section 2. The Office of Municipal Clerk, Assessor and V~gistrnte shall be
combined, and the holder thereof shall receive a monthly salary at the rate
of 5150.00 per month.
Section 3. The City Attorney stall receive a monthly salary at the rate of
$25.00 per month.
Section 4. The Municipal Health Officer shall receive a monthly salary at the
rate of S50.00 per month.

thereof shall receive a montloly salary at the rate of $200.00 per
Section 7. Each of the salaries herein provided shall be paid out of the
General Fund of the City of Seward, and shall bs paid monthly.
The Common Council shall at its first meeting in each month approve and order
paid the salaries of all the above named Officers for the preceding month
and proper warrants shall be drawn on the Treasurr for the payment of same.
Section 8. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed,
Section 9. An emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance
shall take effect immediately upon its passage and Approval.
