'AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of Fourth Avenue
from the north side of Railway Avenue to the south side of Church
Street and providing for payment by assessment upon abutting lots
or parcels of land under the provisions of Ordinance now in force.
BE IT ORDIINED by the Common Council of the Town of seward,
Alaska:
SECTION 1. That Fourth Avenue in the Town of Seward be
improved from the north side of Railway Avenue to the south side
of Church Street according to the plans snd sepecifications of the
City Engineer now on file in his office.
SECTION 2 That an assessment be levied and collected ypon
the abutting lots and parcels of land as provided by Ordinance no.
in force, to defray the coat and expence of said improvement ac-
oording to the prnvisions of eiad Ordinance, which assessment shall
be a lien upon the property liable therefor
SECTION t. That said improvements be done by contract work.
SECTION 4. That the Municipal Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to give notice that sai1 improvements are to be made by
the Town of Seward; that sealed bids will be received by the
Common Council until 7: 30 P. M., June 24 1915; and then opened;
that eaoh bid is to be accompanied by a certified check to the
Municipal Treasurer for five per cent. (510) of the amount of each
bid; that the said Council reserves the rieht to reject any and
all bids; that checks of all unsuccessful bidders, after the
contract is awarded and bond given, will be returned to bidders;
thatspecificatio~B are on file in the offive of the City Engineer
and bidders may obtain same on application.
