RESOLUTION 2000-83
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE 750 AND
500 MCM, 15 KV POWER CABLE FROM WESCO FOR A PRICE NOT- TO-
EXCEED $30,893, AND TO PURCHASE A CONTROL CABLE FROM
POTELCOM FOR A PRICE NOT- TO-EXCEED $2,250.
WHEREAS, the City of Seward requested quotes from various supplies to provide 750 and
500 mcm 15 kV power cables, and a control cable, for use at the Ft. Raymond Substation as part of
the installation of generator number six; and,
WHEREAS, WESCO was the low bidder on the 15 kV cable at a price of $30,893, and
WESCO was the low bidder for the control cable at $2,250.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF-THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to purchase the 15 kVpower cable from WESCO
for a price not-to-exceed $30,893.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to purchase the control cable from Potelcom for
a price not-to-exceed $2,250.
Section 3. Funding for these purchases shall be provided through a State of Alaska Grant,
account 505-5050-05930.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 24 day
of July, 2000.
