CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION 2000-128
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM THE ALASKA DEPARTMENT
OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION (ADEC) IN THE AMOUNT NOT-
TO-EXCEED $94,600 FOR THE PURPOSE OF HAVING ENGINEERING
DESIGN DONE FOR WATER AND SEWER LINE EXTENSIONS
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska, Department of Environmental Conservation has
appropriated a Municipal Matching Grant, #76910, in the amount of$94,600 to the City of Seward
to be applied towards engineering design for water and sewer line extensions; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Seward must formally apply for the grant and thereby agrees to the
terms and conditions of the grant, and to adhere to any governing state regulation; and,
WHEREAS, grant payments will be made when expenses have been incurred and
documentation has been provided to the department along with the payment request form;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Council authorizes the City Manager to accept the $94,600 grant from
the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, and agrees to comply with all terms and
conditions ofthe grant as outlined in the State of Alaska Grants Resolutions (18 AAC 73 and 2 AAC
45.010) and comply with the General Grant Conditions as outlined in the letter from ADEC dated
September 21,2000.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council ofthe city of Seward, Alaska, this 23th
day of October, 2000.
