RESOLUTION 2000-155
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO THE CITY-WIDE NETWORKING
AND WEB PAGE PROJECTS
WHEREAS, the City is currently working on plans to network the City computers to
better access the Internet, each other and to transfer information more efficiently; and
WHEREAS, the City is in the process of evaluating the proposals received from various
firms to help set up a web site for the City of Seward; and
WHEREAS, the goal was to have these projects completed by December 31, 2000; and
WHEREAS, the above projects will not be completed by December 31,2000 due to various
unforeseen reasons; and
WHEREAS, it is still the desire of the City to complete the above projects; and
WHEREAS, the funding that is available in the CY2000 budget will lapse as of December
31,2000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Funds in the amount of $22,000 be appropriated, of which $15,000 is
appropriated from the General Fund General Services Division, Contract Services, account no. 101-
1180-5390 and $7,000 is appropriated from the General Fund Finance Department, Equipment,
account no. 101-1140-5930 to the City-Wide Networking and Web Page Project; account no. XXX-
XXXX-5930.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 11th
day of December, 2000.
