RESOLUTION NO. 95-035
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT TO CITY
ELECTRIC, INC., FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PHASE II
OF THE TRANSMISSION LINE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Council has expressed its desire to proceed with completion
of Phase II of the Transmission Line Project; and
WHEREAS, the City is currently working with the Municipal Bond Bank to
structure a Revenue Bond Sale to supplement remaining project funds to complete the
project; and
WHEREAS, an invitation for bids for construction of Phase II of the project was
publicly advertised on March 24, 1995; and
WHEREAS, three pre-qualified bidders responded to the RFP; and
WHEREAS, the low bidder was City Electric, Inc., with a total bid of $3,302.578.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. A contract for construction of Phase II of the Transmission Line Project
in the amount of $3,302,578.00 between the City of Seward and City Electric, Inc., is
hereby approved, contingent upon the receipt of sufficient financing to cover the cost of
the Project.
Section 2. A project contingency account in the amount of $330,257.80 is hereby
established for a total Project Budget amount of $3,632.835.80.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
24th day of April, 1995.
