RESOLUTION NO. 95-042
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A SPECIAL SERVICES CONTRACT
WITH RONALD F. KROHN FOR INSPECTION SERVICES FOR PHASE II
OF THE TRANSMISSION LINE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Council approved a contract for construction of Phase II of the
Transmission Line between miles 18.5 and 24.5 of the Seward Highway; and
WHEREAS, the City contracted with Dryden LaRue for inspection services on Phase IA
of the transmission line project and contracted with an independent inspector for Phase IB of the
project; and
WHEREAS, contracting with an independent inspector reduces the cost by one-third; and
WHEREAS, a search was conducted to locate a qualified inspector for Phase II of the
Transmission Line Project; and
WHEREAS, an offer to inspect the line was received from Ronald F. Krohn, a
professional engineer, for an amount not to exceed $50,000; and
WHEREAS, funds are available within the transmission line project account;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Ronald
F. Krohn to provide specialized inspection services for Phase II of the Transmission Line Project
for an amount not to exceed $50,000.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.

day of May, 1995.
