RESOLUTION NO. 95-043
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH R & M
CONSULTANTS TO PERFORM FLAGGING AND SURVEYING OF
PHASE II OF THE TRANSMISSION LINE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the general contractor for Phase II of the transmission line project anticipates
starting the clearing of the right-of-way during the week of May 8th; and
WHEREAS, although survey and flagging work was completed last year, it is likely that
most of the flagging and some of the surveyed locations have been lost over the winter; and
WHEREAS, flagging and clearing limits need to be re-established in order to prepare the
site for the general contractor; and
WHEREAS, an estimate was received by Dryden and LaRue from R & M Consultants
for re-staking and re-flagging the transmission line site from the Snow River to Lawing
Substation; and
WHEREAS, funds are available within the transmission line project budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with R & M
Consultants to perform flagging and surveying of Phase II of the transmission line for an amount
not to exceed $26,934.92.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 8th
day of May, 1995.
