CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 95-061
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING SALES TAX REVENUES
TO SEWARD GENERAL HOSPITAL
WHEREAS, the FY95 budget estimated that the City would collect $1,440,000 in
sales tax revenues from approximately $48,000,000 in taxable sales for the fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the FY95 budget appropriated one-third of these revenues, or
$480,000, to Seward General Hospital; and
WHEREAS, actual FY95 taxable sales is now estimated to be $53,194,710, based on
sales tax numbers provided by the Kenai Peninsula Borough; and
WHEREAS, in order to provide the hospital with the full one percent sales tax, it
is necessary to increase the original appropriation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The sum of $52,000 is hereby appropriated from the General Fund Sales
Tax Revenues Account No. 101-4120-0100 to General Fund Operating Transfer-Out to
Seward General Hospital Account No. 101-3070-0301.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
12th day of June, 1995.
