CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 95-063
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
ELECTRICAL MATERIAL FROM POTELCOM FOR THE NASH
ROAD DISTRIBUTION FEEDER PROJECT
WHEREAS, on November 28,1994, the City Council approved Resolution No. 94-
204, appropriating funds from retained eamings for construction of the Nash Road 12.5
KV distribution feeder; and
WHEREAS, the $250,000 approved for construction of this feeder was carried over
to the FY95 budget; and
WHEREAS, City Electric, the successful bidder for Phase II of the transmission line
project, is currently ordering material for that contract; and
WHEREAS, the City has an opportunity to add its order for insulators and
brackets for the Nash Road distribution feeder project to the City Electric order at a
savings of 23%, or $11,520, under what it would ordinarily pay for this material;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to issue a purchase order for
the purchase of Nash Road Distribution Feeder materials in an amount not to exceed
$38,440.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
12th day of June, 1995.
