CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 95-068
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE
REPAIR OF "X" FLOAT
WHEREAS, the repair of "X" Float was completed on May 12,1995; and
WHEREAS, it was originally estimated that thirteen piles required removal before
the float could be realigned and the six new piles driven; and
WHEREAS, it was later determined that two additional steel piles needed to be
removed to properly align the float; and
WHEREAS, the additional cost for a diver to cut the 16" steel pile and remove the
stubs was $1200; and
WHEREAS, all costs associated with the repairs have been submitted to the City's
insurance adjuster for settlement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The sum of $1200 is hereby appropriated from the Harbor Retained
Earnings Account No. 401-0000-3050 to the "X" Float Repair Project Account No. 401-4001-
5390-401 A.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to increase the purchase order
to Storm Chasers in the amount of $1200.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
12th day of June, 1995.
