RESOLUTION NO. 86-51
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE OF MATERIALS
FROM SEWARD BUILDING SUPPLY FOR REPAIR OF THE DECKING ON
THE SMALL BOAT HARBOR BOAT LIFT JXX:K
WHEREAS, the northeast corner of the boat lift dock is in need
of irrrrediate repair; and
WHEREAS, replacerrent of a 30' x 80' area of the dock would
bring the dock up to acceptable safety standards~ and
WHEREAS, Seward Fisheries, Inc., has agreed to install the new
decking if the City provides the materials~ and
WHEREAS, strict adherence to the bid procedures set forth in
Section 10-8 of the City Code 'MJuld be costly and tirre consuming;
NCM, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY '!HE CITY (X)UNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The public interest would best be served by
waiving the bid requirenents set forth in Section 10-8 of the City Code.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to issue a
purchase order in an aIrOunt not to exceed $7,176 to Seward Building
Supply for the sole source purchase of rraterials for repair and redeck-
ing of the boat lift dock.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect innrediately upon
its adoption.
