RESOLUTION NO. 95-075
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING THE SWENSON CONTRACT
FOR PHASE I, LIBRARY HANDICAPPED ACCESS PROJECT
WHEREAS, in April, 1994, the City Council approved Resolution No. 94-134,
awarding a contract in the amount of $58,900 to Swenson Construction Company to build
a handicap accessible entry to the rear of the library; and
WHEREAS, during construction, an existing exterior door and other materials
were found in need of replacement; and
WHEREAS, these additional items resulted in a cost overrun for the contract; and
WHEREAS, funding for this change order is available within the exising project
account and in the Capital Acquisition Fund;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Change Order No.1 to the Swenson Construction contract in the
amount of $1500 to cover the cost of additional materials for Phase I, Library Handi-
capped Access Project, is hereby approved.
Section 2. The sum of $989.35 is hereby appropriated from the Capital Acquisition
Fund, Account No. 103-0000-3070-0218, to the Library Handicapped Access Project,
Contract Services Account No. 218-2180-5390, bringing the total contract budget to
$60,989.35.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
26th day of June, 1995.
