CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 86-58
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR LITI'ER CONTROL
AND CITY BEAUTIFICATION
WHEREAS, the City has received a grant totalling $2500 from
the State through the Youth Elrployment Service (YES) for the purpose of
hiring local teenagers to perform litter control and City beautifi-
cation; and
WHEREAS, an additional $1500 will be needed to anplete the
litter control project; and
WHEREAS, this program will be organized and administered by
the Teen Center;
NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept a grant
fran the State of Alaska totalling $2500 and to appropriate said funds
into the Teen Litter Control Project Account No. 215000.
Section 2. Effective July 1, 1986, the City Manager 1S
further authorized to appropriate an additional $1500 from the Council
Contingency Account No. 101-111-511-10-69 to the Teen Litter Control
Project Account No. 215000, bringing the total budgeted project aITOunt
to $4,000.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect irnrediately upon
its adoption.
