RESOLUTION NO. 95-083
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
A PICKUP TRUCK FOR THE HARBOR DEPARTMENT WITHOUT
FULL UTILIZATION OF CITY BID PROCEDURES
WHEREAS, the City Council budgeted funds for the purchase of a new, pickup
truck for the Harbor Department; and '
WHEREAS, given the limited number of suppliers in Anchorage and the Kenai
Peninsula, it is in the public interest to waive formal bid procedures Imd to allow the
purchase of the vehicle using an informal request for quotes process; and',' " '., .'
WHEREAS, on June 16,1995, the Harbor requested price,'quotestr6m all o'fthe
major automobile dealerships in the area which could provide a full-size; 3/4 ton, fout-
wheel drive truck; and '
WHEREAS, the lowest quote was received from Hutchings ~revrolet;. ,

Section 1. In accordance with SCC ~ 6.10.120, formal bid procedures for the
purchase of a pickup truck for the Harbor Department are hereby waived.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to issue a purchase order in the
amount of $19,963 to Hutchings Chevrolet for the purchase of a pickup truck for the
Harbor Department.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
10th day of July, 1995.
