CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 86-76
A RESOIlJTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, FINDING IT IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST 'ID
WAIVE CITY BID PROCEDURES FOR REPAIR OF THE FIRE HALL R(X)F
WHEREAS, the roof of the Fire Hall is in urgent need of
repair; and
WHEREAS, strict compliance of the City bid procedures outlined
in Section 10-8 of the City Code ~ld be ti.rre consuming and costly; and
WHEREAS, the administration has requested quotes from each of
the three area contractors who have the necessary equiprrent to retar the
roof;
NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCll.. OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The public interest would best be served by
waiving the bid requirenents outlined in Section 10-8 of the City Code.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a
contract with Seward Roofing Ccmpany for an aItOunt not to exceed FIVE
THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY OOLIARS ($5,450.00) for repair of the Fire
Hall roof.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect imnediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, this 28th day of July , 19 86
