RESOLUTIOO NO. 86-77
A RESOIlJTICN OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AUI'HORIZING THE PURCHASE OF SUPPLIES TO
RESTOCK THE ELECTRIC DEPARIMENT INVENTORIES WITHOUT FULL
UTILIZATICN OF CITY BID PRCX:EDURES
WHEREAS, the Electric Depar1::rrent has solicited price quotes
fran four electric supply distributors for distribution construction
ffi3.terials; and
WHEREAS, a busy construction season has depleted stocked
inventories of supplies; and
WHEREAS, it is irrperative that these depleted supplies be
replaced as soon as possible; and
WHEREAS, strict adherence to the bid procedures set forth in
Section 10-8 of the City Code would result in an unnecessary delay in
obtaining the needed supplies;
NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The public interest would best be served by
wa1vwg the bid requirenents set forth in Section 10-8 of the City Code
for the purchase of electric distribution construction ffi3.terials to
restock City inventories.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to issue
purchase orders to the following suppliers in the aItOunts indicated for
the purchase of electric distribution construction ffi3.terials:

General Electric Supply..............
Western States Electric ..............

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect imrediately upon
its adoption.
