CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 86-80
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE
OF MATCHING A STATE LIBRARY GRANT FOR THE PURPOSE
OF MAKING RENOVATIONS TO THE SEWARD COMMUNITY LIBRARY
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 86-44 authorized the filing of
an application for a state library grant for the purpose of
providing handicap accessible toilets and the addition of a
new office for the librarian and a workroom for library
staff; and
WHEREAS, the Division of State Libraries has awarded a
grant in the amount of $45,000.00; and
WHEREAS, a condition of the grant requires a local
match of $30,000; and
WHEREAS, the Seward Community Library has committed
$6,000.00 of its funds toward the required local match; and
WHEREAS, the City of Seward is required to provide
$24,000.00 of the required local match;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
transfer $24,000.00 from the General Fund-Fund Balance
Account No. 101-000-271-00-00 to the Seward Community
Library Renovation Account No. 219000.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, this 25th day of August ,1986
