CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 86-88
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING MATCHING FUNDS FOR
THE SEWARD MARINE INDUSTRIAL CENTER RAILS AND
CRADLES PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Seward has been awarded a $600,000
grant from the Federal Economic Development Administration
for construction of a rails and cradles system for the
Seward Marine Industrial Center shiplift facility; and
WHEREAS, EDA regulations require that the City provide
matching funds for the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
transfer $600,000 from the General Fund Fund Balance Account
No. 101-000-271-00-00 to the SMIC Rails and Cradles Capital
Project Account No. 221000.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption.
