RESOLUTION NO. 87-017
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A
TABLE-TOP RICOH COPIER AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
FROM THE FUND BALANCE TO EFFECT THE PURCHASE
WHEREAS, the city has had to rely on a single copier
for all its copying needs; and
WHEREAS, this reliance on a single copier has created
operational problems for the administration; and
WHEREAS, the city's
unavailable to others when

Engineering Department; and

WHEREAS, when the large volume copier is out of commis-
sion, needed copying must be postponed or original documents
must be removed from city hall and taken to some outside
source for copying; and
WHEREAS, the Ricoh table-top copier offers some fea-
tures not available on the Xerox 1075 (large volume copier),
including enlargement and copying of bound volumes without
disassembly; and
WHEREAS, these features are

used extensively by
Engineering, and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The city manager is hereby authorized to
appropriate $8,373 from the General Fund-Fund Balance
Account to the General Services Equipment Account.
Section 2. The city manager is further authorized to
issue a purchase order to "The Office Place" for the pur-
chase of a Ricoh 5070 copier for the amount of $8,373.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption.
