CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 87-052
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT FOR SMIC WATER EXTENSION DESIGN
WHEREAS, a proposal for professional engineering
services was solicited from Wince-Corthell-Bryson to design
the extension of the water service to the shiplift facility;
and
WHEREAS, this is the firm which designed the new water
utili ty system for the Spring Creek Correctional Facility
and the Seward Marine Industrial Center; and
WHEREAS, the Seward City Code exempts professional
service agreements from the formal bid process; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the SMIC Water Utility
Account No. 241-242 for this project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
award a professional services contract to Wince-Corthell-
Bryson for design of the SMIC water distribution system
extension to the shiplift for a contract amount not to
exceed $32,880.00.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption.
